Established in 2016, Ess Oil is a proudly Rwandan company dedicated to producing the highest quality pure and natural essential oils. Located in the fertile Kayonza district, we work with over 150 farmers directly and collaborate with 1,000+ through cooperatives across Rwanda. With 117 hectares of organic farmland and a vision to expand to 1,000 hectares, EssOil combines innovation, sustainability, and local expertise to deliver exceptional products.

At Ess Oils, we believe supporting farmers means supporting their families. Many struggled with childcare, affecting both their productivity and peace of mind. To address this, we partnered with doTERRA to establish an early childhood development (ECD) school, providing a safe space for children to learn and grow. In just a year, enrollment reached 300, leading to the addition of six more classrooms. Today, the school is a model of how business can uplift communities beyond the farm.
In Kayonza, where rainfall is unpredictable, reliable water access is essential. With the support of the Rwandan Government, Ess oil is able to enjoy and utilize the Kayonza dam and an advanced irrigation system to ensure consistent water supply for our organic crops. This not only secures our production but also supports surrounding communities by promoting sustainable farming
practices.
